How to Use the Boiler Descaling Agent? This product is non-toxic, non-flammable, and non-explosive. Its pH level is close to neutral, making it safe for use in boilers without causing corrosion. It remains stable over time and can be used even if it has clumped due to long-term storage. The boiler descaling agent is an effective solution for removing scale and impurities, commonly used in large boilers to reduce maintenance costs and improve efficiency.
The descaling agent is suitable for boilers with a working pressure of up to 13 kg/cm² and an evaporation rate of less than 4 tons per hour. Before use, dissolve the agent in hot water at 80°C to create a 20% solution. Then fill the boiler to the lowest visible water level and inject the solution into the furnace, maintaining a high water level. Once the boiler is heated, let it cook under controlled conditions.
There are two types of operations: normal pressure and pressurized. Under normal pressure, after boiling the water, maintain a low flame and keep the boiler running. If using pressurized operation, gradually increase the pressure to 1 kg/cm² and maintain it for at least 24 hours before slowly releasing it.
After the cooking process, carefully drain and refill the water, allowing the temperature to drop slowly to avoid residual stress. When the temperature reaches around 50°C, you can add water again. During pressurized operation, raise the pressure slowly—usually reaching 50% of the working pressure within 24 hours. Keep the system at this pressure for at least 24 hours, and ensure continuous operation day and night. Do not drain the boiler or use steam during this time, as it may affect the cleaning results.
Always monitor the water level, keeping it at the upper limit of the gauge. If the level drops, add water immediately. A person must be on duty throughout the entire process to check for leaks or abnormalities in the boiler components and valves. After the cooking is complete, open the manhole, hand hole, and inspection hole promptly. Use manual or high-pressure water jets to remove any remaining scale from the steel plates; otherwise, sludge may harden and become difficult to remove.
The entire process should last no less than 72 hours. Using the boiler descaling agent is simple and efficient, requiring only proper installation and following the guidelines provided.
