This descaling agent is suitable for boilers without economizers or superheaters that operate at a pressure of up to 13 kg/cm² and an evaporation rate below 4 tons per hour. Before use, dissolve the agent in a 20% hot water solution (around 80°C). Fill the boiler to the lowest visible water level, then inject the solution into the furnace and maintain a high water level.
Next, ignite the boiler and heat it up. If operating under normal pressure, keep the boiler boiling with a small flame. For pressurized operation, gradually increase the pressure to 1 kg/cm² and maintain it for at least 24 hours. Then slowly release the pressure.
After the process is complete, drain the water gradually and refill it slowly to avoid thermal stress. Once the temperature drops to around 50°C, you can add fresh water. When using a pressure cooker, raise the pressure slowly, aiming to reach 50% of the working pressure within 24 hours. Maintain this pressure for at least 24 hours, and keep the boiler running continuously during the process.
Do not drain the boiler while it is being treated, and avoid using steam, as this may affect the descaling results. Always keep the water level at the top of the gauge, and refill it when necessary. A person must be on duty throughout the entire process to monitor for leaks or abnormalities.
After the treatment, open the manhole, hand hole, and inspection hole promptly. Use manual scrubbing or a high-pressure water jet to remove any remaining scale, as hardened sludge can be difficult to clean later. The entire process should last at least 72 hours.
