(1) Assisting government authorities in organizing and coordinating the digestion, absorption, and localization of large-scale fertilizer import equipment. In the 1970s, China introduced large chemical fertilizer production facilities from abroad. Over the years, relevant state departments and major chemical fertilizer companies have made significant efforts to adapt and localize this imported technology. In the past two years, the Association has also supported the former National Bureau of Petrochemical Technology and Equipment in carrying out specific tasks such as selecting, approving projects, and organizing localization initiatives for large-scale fertilizer imports. The Association has organized and coordinated the use of technology developed by the Quzhou Cooling Tower Company to localize the cooling towers originally imported by the Wuzhou Dafang Fertilizer Plant. It has been involved in all stages of project approval, implementation, evaluation, and acceptance.
The Association has also facilitated collaboration among Jinxi Natural Gas Chemical Company, Shenyang Blower Factory I, and Lanzhou Chemical Machinery Institute to complete the localization of large chemical fertilizer vapor compressors. Currently, the aircraft is being manufactured at the Shenyang Blower Factory, with efforts underway to complete installation, commissioning, and acceptance within 2025.
(II) The Collaborative Group for Equipment and Technology Management in the Chlor-alkali Industry has held meetings, exchanges, and seminars on topics such as the continuous development of large-scale production equipment and the digestion, absorption, and localization of ion-exchange membrane caustic soda and C-paste resin introduction technology. Enterprises have reported significant benefits from these activities. Additionally, new equipment such as pusher centrifuges and chlorine compressors has been promoted and adopted.
(III) The Soda Ash Industry Equipment Technology Management Collaboration Group has organized technical research and exchanges focused on corrosion issues in soda ash production equipment and related structures. New anti-corrosion materials and equipment, such as iron pumps and Qin valves, have been promoted, and initial solutions to equipment protection measures have been implemented, effectively addressing some corrosion problems.
(D) The Coating Equipment Industry Technology Management and Coordination Group has long emphasized the joint technological research between production enterprises and equipment manufacturers, achieving a series of notable results. Hydraulic couplings and Amar filters used on imported sand mills have been localized, and a new type of horizontal sand mill has been successfully developed, contributing to the advancement of paint industry equipment technology.
(V) Power companies have collaborated in organizing various technical exchange activities, summarizing, exchanging, and promoting the localization and scaling up of fly ash remelting technology in fluidized bed boilers at Sanming Chemical Factory's thermal power plant and Jilin Group's power plant. They have also shared numerous successful experiences in desulfurization technology for thermal power plants. In particular, the fly ash remelting technology implemented at Jihua Power Plant achieved good results when applied at Wuhan Gehua Power Plant. Other industry equipment technology management collaboration groups and professional committees under the association have also carried out valuable work, playing an essential role in advancing equipment and power technology progress within their respective fields.
