Hardware can be broadly categorized into general hardware and special hardware based on their functions. General hardware includes items such as locks, hinges, slide rails, handles, hanging wheels, nails, plate supports, door stoppers, clothes hooks, ball bumpers, touch cards, and plate pins, depending on how they are installed. On the other hand, special hardware is divided into bathroom hardware and kitchen cabinet hardware, based on their application areas. In this article, I will focus on both general and special hardware.

1. Features: Steel nails are the most commonly used type and do not require any special tools. They are often used for installing wooden shelves manually. Cement nails also don’t need any special tools and are mainly used for hammering into concrete walls. Threaded nails, however, are designed for securing baseboards. Their threaded structure makes them less likely to loosen over time.
2. Selection: It’s best to choose gas nails in large quantities. These nails are sold in cartridges with a disc. When selecting, check if the arrangement is neat and the length is consistent. Keep in mind that although each cartridge may have a high number of nails, the actual count might be slightly less than advertised due to manufacturing tolerances.
(5) Hanging Wheels
1. Features: Hanging wheels are commonly used for sliding doors in balconies, kitchens, and dining areas. There are two main types: imported and domestic. Most imported hanging wheels only import the bearings, while the rest of the components are manufactured locally in China.
2. Selection: Imported hanging wheels usually use high-quality bearings, making them extremely quiet during operation. They can last between 15 to 20 years and typically cost around 80 yuan. Domestic hanging wheels, while more affordable (ranging from 20 to 45 yuan), tend to make more noise and have a shorter lifespan, usually between 5 to 10 years. When choosing, consumers can place the hanging wheel on a glass counter and test it by sliding it back and forth. Trying multiple samples helps ensure a smooth and quiet performance.
