These efforts have led to breakthroughs in several critical technologies, resulting in the development of numerous high-quality products that are highly competitive in the global market. Some of these products are already on the cusp of entering the market, providing a strong boost to Jiangxi's emerging industries.
One of the standout innovations is the Diamond Wire Cutting Machine, a patented product developed by Xinyu Yinlong Electromechanical Technology Co., Ltd. This machine is designed for cutting ultra-hard and ultra-thin materials like the new generation of crystalline silicon and mobile phone glass. It operates at speeds two to three times faster than traditional mortar cutting machines, using only 0.6 meters of wire per cut while maintaining a yield of over 98%. It can mass-produce ultra-thin single-crystal silicon wafers as thin as 150 microns. Additionally, it recycles 80% of the cutting liquid, which costs around 500,000 yuan per ton, with the recovered silicon powder reaching a purity of 6N. The overall technical specifications match those of foreign counterparts, but with better cost efficiency compared to imported models. Currently, small-scale trials are underway, and once fully developed, this machine will break Japan's technological monopoly in this field. It will also establish China’s first professional manufacturer of ultra-thin diamond wire cutting machines at an international standard, significantly transforming the landscape of core equipment for cutting ultra-hard and ultra-thin materials in China.
Another remarkable achievement is the LED-specific MOCVD (Metal Organic Chemical Vapor Deposition) equipment, a key device for green lighting independently developed by Nanchang University. The prototype of a 37x2†MOCVD machine has been successfully created, boasting a production capacity of 37x2 wafers per furnace. The substrate temperature ranges from 0°C to 1200°C with an accuracy of ±0.5°C, and the N-layer growth rate is 6 μm/h. The electro-optical conversion efficiency of the produced LEDs reaches 52%. This equipment is not only suitable for producing epitaxial wafers on traditional substrates like sapphire but can also handle silicon-based substrates for LED epitaxial film production. Compared to similar foreign products, it offers excellent cost-effectiveness. Small-scale production is currently underway, and it is expected that in the near future, China will achieve full industrialization of core LED equipment and technology with complete intellectual property rights.
