Security giant ADT enters smart home

According to foreign media pcmag report, the United States security giant ADT announced that it will join hands with LG, Nest to enter the smart home market.

In cooperation with LG, both parties are building an all-in-one smart home security product, which may be officially launched at the earliest this autumn. At present, this product has no name yet.

It is understood that this device is a camera capable of video capture, infrared night vision. In addition to live video, alarms can also be issued as indoor environmental sensors. In addition, the device supports major smart home protocols including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Z-Wave, and ZigBee. As of now, the price of this product and other detailed parameters are still unknown, and the price is expected to be between $200 and $300.

In addition, ADT will improve the home security and automation platform Pulse before this summer and support new partners such as Nest, Ford Sync, Intel Security, iControl Networks, Life360 and IF.
