It is understood that the High District was approved by the Ministry of Science and Technology as “National Advanced Composite Materials High-tech Industrialization Base†in 2009, and has now formed 27 key enterprises including Guangwei Group, Weigao Group and Wanfeng Magnesium. Carbon fiber composite materials, polymer materials, metal materials, super hard materials and other new products are the cluster development pattern of key product areas.
By the end of 2013, there were 30 research and development institutions at or above the municipal level, including 2 state-level enterprise centers, 1 international science and technology cooperation base, 2 national engineering laboratories, and 16 provincial R&D institutions. The continuous improvement and improvement of the innovation system has provided scientific and technological support for the development of the base. It has undertaken 39 projects at or above the municipal level, including 12 national-level projects and 17 provincial-level projects. The implementation of these patents and planned projects has played a positive role in promoting the city's technological innovation capability and industrial competitiveness.

Niobium is a shiny gray metal with paramagnetism and belongs to Group 5 on the periodic table. High Purity Niobium has high ductility, but hardens as the amount of impurities increases.
