U.S. Elementary School Opens New Security System

Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut, USA, resumed classes on the 3rd. This was the first time students returned to school after the shooting on December 14 last year.

Relevant person in charge of the school stated that the school was equipped with carpets and furniture, and even the former pet turtles were resettled. The school hopes to help the students to make a smooth transition, and more cameras and new security systems have also been activated.

A total of 20 children died as a result of the shooting in the primary school campus that shocked the United States. The investigators are still trying to determine the motivation of the gunmen.

A poll showed that the shooting incident at Sandy Hook Elementary School reversed the American public’s position on gun control. Fifty-two percent of respondents believe that they should "strengthen their control over guns or prohibit private guns."
