The Japan Aluminum Association announced that its aluminum output in February increased by 2.7% to 166,199 tons compared to the same period last year. Shipments increased by 2.3% to 168,092 tons. Output and people shipments increased for 15 consecutive months. However, this increase was the smallest since December 2009 when volume increased. Slower car demand has reduced the growth rate of aluminum supply.
