The new export order index has rebounded. The global new export order index was 51.0%, and the growth rate accelerated from last month, rising 0.7 percentage points.

Employment growth was unchanged from last month. Global manufacturing employment activity has continued to grow for 17 consecutive months. The employee index was 51.2%, which was the same as last month. In major countries and regions, employment activities in the United States, the Eurozone, Japan, the United Kingdom, Canada, Mexico, South Korea, Brazil and other countries and regions have maintained growth.

The price index has fallen back. The global manufacturing average purchase price index was 51.3%, down 0.8 percentage points from the previous month, reaching a new 8-month low. The ex-factory price index fell to 49.3%, down 0.8 percentage points from the previous month.

From a regional perspective, the global manufacturing PMI's upward momentum in December 2014 was mainly from North America, including the United States, Canada and Mexico. Although the magnitude has declined, it still shows expansion. The expansion of the UK and some European countries continues, Japan maintains a moderate expansion, while Russia and China are almost stagnant, and India's manufacturing performance is outstanding, the best in the past two years.
