CAPP production process basic parts list

CAPP is a very important software for the craftsman. It can store the basic data of the process and open the “Basic Parts List of Process” of a certain product, so that we can see the process information of all the parts of the product at a glance.

The parts list we use is generally made in Excel. The two softwares of Excel and CAPP are not compatible. How to extract information into the basic parts list of CAPP technology conveniently, quickly and accurately is a difficult problem in front of us.

Traditional method

In the past, when the basic information was extracted from the parts list and input into CAPP, the five items of “number, name, material, number of pieces, and remarks” of each part had to be copied/pasted five times to complete. A product has many sets of components, and each set has many parts, so that it has to be copied/pasted innumerable times to complete the input of basic information. If there are too many parts in the product, copying/pasting the eyes for a long time will be very fatigued, and if you don't pay attention, you will stick to the wrong line.

2. Analyze the problem

In order to solve this problem, we carefully studied the commonality and difference of the basic parts list and Excel parts list of CAPP process. It was found that using Word as the intermediate carrier, and then slightly modifying, all parts can be imported into CAPP at one time. Since it is a one-time copy/paste, the error rate is zero.

Let's take the 00 group parts of our factory's product JK as an example to introduce the specific operation method: “The basic parts list for process” in CAPP (see Figure 1) by the figure number, version, name, material, number of pieces, blank, process information, The contractor and the remarks are composed of 9 columns, the number of which is divided into two small columns, the blank is divided into 4 small columns, and the process information is divided into 5 columns, so that the table consists of 17 columns.

The standard format of our factory's "Parts List" (see Figure 2) consists of the figure number, name, material, number of pieces, unit net weight, castings, forgings, units and remarks. The number of pieces is divided into two columns. In this way, the table consists of 17 columns.

3. Solve the problem

Studying the commonalities between the two tables, it is found that the number, name, material, number of pieces, castings, forgings, contracting units, and remarks required in the basic parts list of the CAPP process are different in the Excel parts list. Yes, the version, blank and process information required by CAPP is not fully displayed in the Excel parts list, and this information is extracted from the drawing after we input the basic information. Therefore, the solution we solve is to apply the commonality of the two tables to make up for and modify the differences.

Open the Word software, copy/paste the Excel parts list "Group Part 00" to the Word blank page, delete the line of the "Parts List and Drawing Number", delete the column of "Unit Net Weight", and the left side of the "Name" column. Insert 1 column, insert 7 columns on the left side of the contractor. After this modification, the table in Word and the "Process Basic Parts List" in CAPP are exactly the same, all 17 columns (see Figure 3), then Sex copy/paste, all part basic information of "Group part 00" is imported once. By analogy, the entire product can be copied/pasted to a blank page of Word at the same time, and then the table is modified according to the above method, and all the basic information of the entire product can be imported at one time.

Since the CAPP table is not very smart on automatic pagination, it is recommended that in the case of more parts (more than one page), before pasting, enter "any character" on the next line of "current line", and then place the cursor on the "current line". "Paste on, CAPP form will automatically add pages, no matter how many pages are stuck.

This new method has been applied by all craftspeople to increase the accuracy of information input to 100%. In the past, it took more than half a month's work, and now it can be easily done in a few hours, effectively improving the quality and efficiency of work.
