The high-performance three-eccentric bidirectional hard-sealed butterfly valve is designed with an innovative structure that ensures excellent sealing performance under various conditions. The valve seat sealing ring consists of multiple layers of stainless steel sheets on both sides of a soft T-shaped sealing ring, combining the advantages of both metal hard sealing and soft sealing. This unique configuration allows the valve to achieve zero leakage performance in both low-temperature and high-temperature environments.
The sealing surfaces of the valve disc and the valve seat are shaped as inclined cones, and a temperature-resistant and corrosion-resistant alloy is deposited on the conical surface of the disc. This enhances the durability and reliability of the seal, especially under harsh operating conditions. Additionally, a spring mechanism is integrated between the adjusting ring pressing plates and the adjusting bolt assembly on the pressure plate. This system compensates for dimensional tolerances between the sleeve and the valve body, as well as for elastic deformation of the stem caused by internal pressure, ensuring consistent and reliable sealing performance.
The design effectively addresses sealing challenges in two-way flow applications, where the medium can flow in either direction. In the forward flow condition, when the medium flows in the same direction as the rotation of the disc, the sealing force is enhanced by the torque from the actuator and the pressure exerted by the medium on the disc. As the medium pressure increases, the contact between the disc and the seat becomes tighter, improving the sealing effect.
In the reverse flow condition, the seal is biased toward the drive side, pushing the disc against the seat. Although the unit normal pressure between the disc and the seat may be lower than the medium pressure, the spring within the adjusting ring stores energy under load and provides automatic compensation for the sealing pressure. This self-adjusting feature ensures consistent sealing performance regardless of flow direction.
Unlike conventional designs that place the multi-layer sealing ring directly on the disc, this invention mounts the sealing ring directly on the valve body and incorporates an adjusting ring between the pressure plate and the seat. This approach offers an ideal solution for bidirectional hard-sealing applications and has the potential to replace traditional gate valves, globe valves, and ball valves in many industrial settings.
For those looking for high-performance sealing solutions, we recommend exploring advanced options such as high-performance butterfly valves, high-performance ball valves, and hard-sealed butterfly valves.
