Breeding cultivation method

The **breeding cultivation method of Baizilian** involves two main techniques: ramet propagation and seed sowing. Ramets are typically carried out in early spring, between March and April, when the plants are repotted. During this process, dense or old plants are divided into smaller clumps, with each pot ideally containing 2–3 clusters. After propagation, the plant will bloom the following year. If ramets are done after flowering in autumn, it can still bloom the next year as well. For sowing, seeds usually germinate within about 15 days. However, the seedlings grow slowly, and it takes around 4–5 years before they start to flower. When planting, a mix of 3 parts garden soil with 1 part ash and compost is recommended for optimal growth. Baizilian prefers a semi-shaded and moist environment. From June to September, direct sunlight should be avoided to prevent leaf burn. Watering should be done when the soil feels slightly dry, maintaining a balance between wet and dry. Especially during summer, it's important to keep the soil consistently moist and to frequently mist both the plants and their surroundings to maintain humidity and coolness. Before fertilizing, it's best to withhold watering for a day so that the potting soil dries slightly. After applying fertilizer, the leaves should be rinsed with clean water. A combination of organic manure, cake fertilizer, and chemical compound fertilizer is recommended, applied every 10–15 days. For ramet-grown plants, more frequent fertilization helps encourage earlier blooming. After flowering, remove the spent blooms and apply fertilizer promptly. Stop fertilizing after October, and move the plants indoors to a humid location when temperatures drop to 1–2°C. Ensure the temperature stays above 0°C during winter. At this stage, watering should be minimized—keep the soil just slightly moist, avoiding overwatering. Baizilian likes moisture but does not tolerate standing water, as this can lead to root rot. Fertilize every two weeks, and add phosphate fertilizer before flowering to promote vibrant blooms. After flowering, the plant enters a semi-dormant phase, and watering should be strictly controlled—let the soil dry out between waterings.

Shower Mixers

What is Shower Mixer?

A shower mixer is a valve which draws from both your hot and cold water supplies and mixes them so that you can control the temperature of your shower.

How does a shower mixer work?

What are mixer showers? ... Basically, it's a shower that connects to both cold and hot water supplies in your home. They mix the existing hot and cold water in a valve before sending it on to the shower head, where it finally flies out at what's normally a stronger flow than you can get with electric showers.
